I once saw someone who was using a trekking pole as a cane, I made note of that. I was thinking that it was smart, and it was retractable, looked good!. Usually walking canes cost are the same as the aluminum trek poles. I think these are the best options for this reason. Got the 7075 aluminum and they are perfect. Well engineered and ruggedly constructed. Very stable and ergonomic. Easy to adjust. I am 73 years old and have been hiking since the sixties. I did not need them in 1966 but they are a necessity now.

Harper's Ferry - Maryland Heights Trail, severe climb, applied my full weight up and down, especially rock hopping, the locks held tight! It was my first time using trekking poles and LOVED them. Cork grips comfortable on the hands - excellent product. I'm 5'3" and got the men's to be able use with my tent. I feel I might be as short as one can be and successfully use them, just so you can size up or down accordingly.

We used this pole first time for five days vacation in Arizona to Utah - Kanab, Grand Staircase Escalante, Toadstool, Lake powell, Glen canyon, Horshoe Bend State Park, Brice Canyon, Peekcaboo Canyon, Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, Capitol Reef National Park, Arches National Park. These are my first set of trekking poles. I bought them mostly for stability on slippery terrain and to help my knees downhill. They have not disappointed! When I first set the poles up I tested each one individually to make sure the clamps held well. I leaned my full weight on them and they didn’t budge. The grips are comfortable and the poles are light but still feel sturdy on the trail. The 2 year warranty is also a nice touch but as tough as these are I doubt I’ll need it.

I bought a pair of blue (to be different!) aluminum treking poles (carbon was too much $) and I have used them every day when I have gone out for my 2-3 mile walk through the snow/ice here in Minneapolis. They have really helped me maintain my balance! I wouldn't go out without them! The changeable accessories included with them are really appreciated and are NOT included with poles from other vendors. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I had a serious back injury that was still not "fixed" after 4 surgeries. I knew that all the parts were there and welded together but walking was still not what I could do without pain. The cane thing (while really cool) didn't get me far because I was lopsided and bent when walking. So.... I got my "walking sticks" and now I can walk back "straitish", looking ahead not down, and heel toe it down the sidewalk. I am looking forward them taking me on the trails in the spring.
The delivery was super, the instructions clear, and they poles went together with no wrangling. Keep up the good work.

Excellent trekking poles! Used them several times to go in and out of the Grand Canyon. They are very light weight and reliable. Great idea to have the tightening nuts adjusted with fingers. Have total confidence in bearing all my weight on them when descending down very steep and hazardous terrain.

I received a pair of Foxelli trekking poles for Christmas (at my request). I liked them so much that when I lost them I Immediately ordered a new pair. They've been hiking most weekends with an occasional backpacking trip thrown in and have been fantastic. I'm older and really rely on my hiking poles to keep me balanced, cross streams, ascend and descend steep mountains and rocky scrambles. I like how they have multiple grips with a padded rubberized grip below the cork grip - very helpful on really steep rocky scrambles. The poles also come with multiple tips for different terrains; no need to get extra tips. They're easy to collapse and the included instructions answer any questions you may have.

I've used these on two 5 mile hikes so far, once in dry weather, once in the rain. Loved them! Great grip design stayed comfortable in the hand regardless of weather, very sturdy feel. I often put most of my weight on them up and down steep grades and had no slippage at all. Take the time to tighten and test the clamps as described in the instructions and you'll have no problems. Overall a GREAT product!
