Q: What are the main differences between the 10W and the 21W models?

A: For starters, the 21W model is able to generate more power – it delivers up to 3.5A, while the 10W is able to deliver up to 1.85A. Another difference is the charging time - with 21W version it is shorter. And lastly, a 21W version has a special port for iOS devices which has a charging restart function, which is very important for anyone using Apple devices!

Q: Why does the 21W model has a special port for iOS?

A: Usually iPhones stop charging when there is a drop in power, and that happens quite frequently with solar chargers, all it takes is a cloud passing by for the current to change slightly. Our iOS ports (which are available only on the 21W model) have a re-start function, so the charging will resume shortly.

 

Q: Why doesn't this store power?

A: Our solar chargers do not store energy, they are not power banks, and they do not have any internal batteries. All they do is convert solar power to electrical energy. As long as the sun is shining - you are able to charge your devices. It's ideal for situations where no other source of power is available: while camping, or doing other outdoorsy activities, or simply during emergencies when the electrical power goes down.
